Ide penulisan novel ini bermula tahun 2010, saat kami reuni alumni ’82 kelas IIIA SMP 9 Medan. Saat itu, teman-teman sekelas mendorong aku untuk mengisahkan tentang masa-masa indah kami selama di SMP. Apalagi dari pertemuan itu, aku lihat tidak sedikit teman-teman yang telah menjadi orang dan sukses.

Lantas, akupun menelisik ingatanku tentang latarbelakang dan perjuangan kami semasa SMP. Kami sebahagian besar merupakan keturunan rakyat jelata, buruh, maupun kuli yang hanya punya mimpi besar. Begitu juga spirit, guru-guru kami yang mengantarkan kami ke jenjang sukses dan jadi orang dalam bidang masing-masing.

Akhirnya, aku pun menguak RAHASIA MENEMBUS MIMPI dalam sebuah kisah perjalanan kami. Sidang pembaca sudah tentu ingin tau bagaimana cara kami menguak Rahasia Menembus Mimpi, bukan?
